As you probably already know, my dog has some form of cancer. Well, she went to the vet yesterday and they took yet another biopsy. We now definitely know that it's not a fungal infection, which is easier to treat. We find out in a week whether she has to have her leg amputated and her life expectancy.
I think she's confused about what's happening. All that she knows is that one of her legs really hurts and her family is spoiling her with food and attention.
It's so sad. She's only five. She's so sweet; she doesn't deserve this.

I just ran across your story at the Spuffy Realm and fell in love with it. Came here to see if you might have more updates, but saw the news about your poor, sweet Belle instead. I hope the amputation wasn't necessary, but if it was, I really hope she's recovering and doing well. Dogs are so resilient. Much more so than people. Whatever the outcome, know that my thoughts and prayers are with you both. I hope everything is okay and that you're just too busy to post. (I can definitely relate to that.)
Take care,

Aw, thank you. Unfortunately, amputation was all they could do. But that was about 2 days ago and she's going to the bathroom on her own and walking fine. She seems generally happy to have the dead weight of the bum leg gone. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
Oh and I have a new fic that is being beta'd as we speak, so that'll be up on TSR and EF soon.
